ABOUT

Eloise is a writer, artist, translator and medical microbiologist with degrees in medicine, global health and translation. She has roots in South Africa, Germany, Italy and Argentina.

When she was seven years old, Eloise fell in love with poetry, microscopes and the wonder of words. 30+ years later, she is still writing and illustrating books, using the lens of poetry and art to make the extraordinary around us visible.

​Besides various scientific publications in medical journals, she has published poems and short stories in poetry anthologies and literary magazines. Eloise also enjoys being in nature, inventing board games with her family and researching multidrug-resistant bacteria in sub-Saharan Africa.
